Blackburn Rovers v Wednesday
Sunday 21 April
12:30pm
Championship
Ewood Park

THE MATCH

The battle for Championship survival heats up as Wednesday make a trip across the Pennines to face Blackburn in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Both sides will be hoping for favourable results on Saturday to determine where a win could take them following the Sunday lunchtime clash.

Rovers are sitting prettiest as it stands, with five points separating them from the drop zone ahead of the weekend.

A victory for the Owls could see us leapfrog Huddersfield and Birmingham to exit the relegation zone, but only if both fail to win their Saturday fixtures.

Danny Röhl’s side are unbeaten in three games, earning five points from nine ahead of the trip to Lancashire.

Rovers will be buoyed by a 1-0 win away at promotion-chasing Leeds last time out, bouncing back from a 5-0 defeat to Bristol City the match before.

TICKETS

Wednesday will be backed by over 7,000 supporters at Ewood Park, a season high for the Owls. Our allocation is completely sold out and supporters should not travel to the game unless in possession of a valid matchday ticket.

We again remind fans of their conduct whilst following the Owls. Click HERE for details.

We are advised that all official club parking areas close to the stadium are fully subscribed, and supporters should allow for extra time to reach Ewood Park.

Ewood Park is in a residential area of Blackburn and we ask that all supporters respect the surrounding areas.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: Danny Röhl confirmed his matchday squad will look similar to that of our 1-1 draw with Stoke last weekend.

Di’Shon Bernard and Ian Poveda remain sidelined for the Owls.

Blackburn: Rovers are without young midfielder Zac Gilsenan who picked up an injury in training.

Andrew Moran and Yasin Ayari are back in contention, and Scott Wharton will be assessed ahead of Sunday.
