Owls duo Barry Bannan and Steven Fletcher have been called up for international duty with Scotland.
Gordon Strachan has named his squad for the Scot’s first World Cup 2018 qualifying match against Malta.
The game will take place on Sunday 4 September at the Ta'Qali Stadium, Malta.
Fletcher has 28 caps and has scored eight goals. His last appearance came in Scotland’s 3-0 victory over France in June 2016.
The striker scored seven goals during Scotland’s UEFA Euro 2016 qualification campaign, including hat-tricks in both games against Gibraltar and a goal against Poland.
Meanwhile, Bannan has 21 caps to his name and last featured in the Scot’s 1-0 win over Czech Republic in March 2016.
The midfielder’s excellent form for the Owls throughout 2015/16 saw Bannan called back into the Scotland fold after a one-year absence.
