Carlos Carvalhal has offered his warm congratulations to the Owls’ academy following the Under-23s’ play-off final win over Hull.
Carvalhal watched Wednesday lift the silverware at Hillsborough on Friday night and started Saturday’s pre-match press conference for the first team’s play-off clash against Huddersfield with a nod to the club’s youth set-up.
He said: “First of all, I would like to say congratulations to everyone at the academy – the players, the coaches, the staff.
“The Under-23 side won the league, they have now won the play-offs and the Under-18s finished second in their competition.
“These are all very good achievements and I am very pleased for everybody who has taken part in this successful season.”
