The Owls edged a five-goal thriller in the same fixture on the final day of the following season.
The hosts raced into a three-goal lead with goals from Jermaine Johnson, Deon Burton and a Dickson Etuhu own goal.
The Canaries responded through Robert Earnshaw and Dion Dublin but it was too little, too late for the visitors, as Wednesday recorded their highest league position since relegation from the Premier League in 2000.
2007/08 (Owls 4-1 Norwich)
Victory was crucial for the Owls in this campaign on the final day.
An impressive 4-1 win in S6 ensured Championship survival, though Wednesday had to come from behind after Darren Huckerby’s early long range hit.
A Deon Burton penalty levelled the game but second half goals from Ben Sahar, a second from Burton and Leon Clarke saw Wednesday maintain their second tier status.
2008/09 (Owls 3-2 Norwich)
Wednesday were a goal down at the break after Marcus Tudgay conceded a penalty that Sammy Clingan converted.
Tony McMahon headed home after the break from Etienne Esajas’ corner and Leon Clarke made it 2-1 on 55 minutes, firing home a loose ball.
Norwich levelled through future Owls loanee Leroy Lita but Tudgay atoned for giving away the penalty by heading home the winner from a Lewis Buxton centre.
2014/15 (Owls 0-0 Norwich)
A wait of almost six years followed before the Owls and the Canaries would meet at Hillsborough and on this occasion, the points were shared in the Championship clash.
Keiren Westwood came to the Owls’ rescue on four separate occasions to ensure his side earned a point from this Championship clash.
The Republic of Ireland international proved the difference between the teams and although Wednesday enjoyed more than their fair share of possession, they couldn’t find a way through the Canaries’ defence.
