The Sheffield Wednesday squad have completed their warm weather pre-season workout in Portugal.
The Owls were put through their paces in the Algarve over a five-day period, which included a friendly with Primeira Liga outfit C.D Nacional and a training match with Portimonense.
The trip began on Thursday 21 July as the squad jetted out to Faro from Manchester airport.
From then, Carlos Carvalhal’s side trained twice daily in the scorching Algarve heat.
A long with new additions Jake Kean and Steven Fletcher, a number of the club’s youngsters were on board including Jack Stobbs, Connor O’Grady, George Hirst, Sean Clare and Jack Lee.

After an intense opening few days, attention turned to the clash with C.D Nacional, who last year finished 11th in Portugal’s top flight.
The Owls impressed at Estadio Municipal de Albufeira as goals from Fernando Forestieri, Gary Hooper (2) and a first in Wednesday colours for Fletcher sealed an impressive win.
Of course delighted with his maiden Owls goal and the link-up play with Hooper in the build-up, swfc.co.uk spoke to Fletcher after the victory.

Wednesday were back to work the next morning in preparation for a training exercise with Portuguese second tier side Portimonense S.C.
Late goals in Portimao from Forestieri and Fletcher saw the game finish 3-2 in the hosts’ favour.
The training match wrapped up the Owls’ time in Portugal and the squad headed home to England on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday will face their final pre-season friendly this Sunday against Port Vale at Hillsborough (4.30pm).
The South Stand only will be open for this fixture and tickets are now on general sale priced £10 Adults and £5 Concessions (over 65s and under 21s).
