Pleasing week for Pudil

21 October 2016

Daniel Pudil wants to round off a good week for Wednesday by returning to winning ways at Hillsborough.

The Owls were defeated by Brighton last time out on home soil but have since posted four points from two tough games away from home.

The 31-year-old believes it was crucial that Wednesday picked up points from the trips to Huddersfield and Cardiff.

And Pudil – who scored the Owls’ equaliser in the 1-1 draw at The Cardiff City Stadium – said:

“We’ve had a good week so far and that was important after the Brighton game at home.

“We needed those points to bring back to Hillsborough and I think we have played very well.

“Against Cardiff we deserved more than just a point but that’s football. I think we can be happy with the points and performances we did in the last two games.”

Following the midweek trip to the Welsh capital, it’s been straight back to work for the Owls in preparation for the visit of Queens Park Rangers.

“We are always very well prepared for the games,” Pudil added. “We will know everything about the team and the players.

“We have to put all our focus on this game, we want to win and we want to stay in the top six and push on as much as possible.”
