On the final day of the campaign, Benfica set another record as they defeated Maritimo 6-2 in the Taca da Liga final to secure a record seventh trophy in nine editions of the competitions.

Wednesday then fly out to Faro, Portugal on Thursday 21 July where they will be put through their paces in the warm weather environment.

Portuguese outfit CD Nacional will provide the opposition on Sunday 24 July at the Estadio Albufeira Municipal stadium, with match details to be confirmed.

After returning to England on Tuesday 26 July, the Owls will host League One side Port Vale on Sunday 31 July (4.30pm) in their final friendly fixture.
