As the latest strand of our 150th anniversary celebrations, the Owls are delighted to announce details of a truly unique UK football concept.
‘The Sheffield Wednesday Dream Scene’ is a completely original mural that will chart the rich history of SWFC through a fictional dressing room setting starring only true legends of the club.
From first brush to last, our Dream Scene will be formulated, designed and delivered from Australia, where hugely renowned artist Jamie Cooper will lead this innovative project.
And the club are calling on Wednesdayites to get right involved in this one-off venture that will trigger talks around the world from those of a blue and white persuasion.
The idea is simple but stunning and will serve as the most fitting souvenir of the Owls’ 150th anniversary season of 2017/18.
Jamie will create the Dream Scene comprising a very special group of Sheffield Wednesday legends, all brought to life by the incredible talents of the revered illustrator.
But prior to that, YOU can play YOUR part! Tomorrow, we will be revealing the club’s selection of players from all eras that we feel are befitting of inclusion – and then it’s over to you!
We want your top ten choices, in no team order nor from any particular period, with votes cast via our social media platforms, official website, matchday programme, post or by emailing website@swfc.co.uk
Immediately after the selection process is complete, Jamie will get down to business in his homeland Down Under.
The native Australian has already spent time here at Hillsborough working with club officials to gain a valuable insight into SWFC through our 149-year existence.
Jamie is now patiently awaiting the final Dream Scene of all time Owls greats, as chosen by those who know best, Wednesdayites themselves.

The original Sheffield Wednesday Dream Scene mural will be owned by the club for display, while supporters will be able to buy an extremely limited edition canvas, together with an equally limited print version.
The Sheffield Wednesday Dream Scene will be officially unveiled here at Hillsborough in time for our 150th anniversary date of 4 September 2017.
