The Owls are delighted to announce the basis of the winning third kit design for our 150th anniversary season.
As part of the milestone campaign next time out, we asked Wednesdayites of all ages to send in their ideas for the full third strip the team will don throughout 2017/18.
As expected, a huge number of supporters took up the challenge and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who submitted their designs.
The selection process was incredibly difficult given the quality of entries but we can reveal that the winning design is that of 27-year-old Owls fan Karl Nuttall.
Karl’s submission of this classic gold and white strip is pictured here and will form the working foundation of the finished article to be worn by Wednesday next season.
So congratulations Karl, thanks again to everyone who took part, and we – like you – will look forward to seeing the celebration strip design brought to life for the very first time!
