Under-18s on a high and set for Hull

8 November 2016

The Owls Under-18s are proving a formidable force this season.

The youngsters have won seven of their last nine encounters and most recently defeated Steel City rivals Sheffield United on Saturday at Shirecliffe.

The Blades have made a strong start themselves but suffered their first home defeat of the campaign at the weekend, as a double from George Hirst earned the Owls maximum points.

The SWFC academy have more than recovered from a slow start to the season that saw Wednesday lose their opening three games.

There have been plenty of positives since then as Wednesday went on a five-game winning streak and then recovered from back to back defeats by posting victories over Bolton and the Blades.

This weekend, Wednesday face Hull City on the road, with kick-off at 11.00am at the Tigers’ Bishop Burton College academy centre.

The Owls’ official YouTube channel has all the goals from the Under-18s and Under-23s this season here:
