Sheffield Wednesday can now confirm the club’s Under-21 pre-season schedule.
Following the players’ return to duty at the beginning of July, the youngsters will face six warm-up fixtures – all away from home.
The 21s begin with a trip to Wigan on Wednesday 13 July (12noon), the same day the first team face Alfreton at the Impact Arena.
Then, on Friday 15 July, the Under-21s take on Worksop (7.30pm), followed by a friendly clash with Hallam FC on Monday 18 July (7.30pm).
Wednesday travel to Sheffield FC on Thursday 21 July (7.30pm) and then Leicester City on 26 July (12noon).
Finally, the Development Squad will travel to Stocksbridge on Saturday 30 July (3.00pm).
League fixtures for the 21s will be released in due course.
