Wednesday have a busy schedule over the course of the next few weeks but for Jose Semedo, it is all about the present.

The Owls have seven fixtures in 28 days next month, including a Capital One Cup quarter final with Stoke.

But the midfield general is firmly focused on Saturday’s trip to Blackburn and said:

“This is the beauty of football in this country, it’s always about the present.

“You don’t have time to think about the past or think about the future because every single week, you have a new challenge, a new game.

“It doesn’t matter what you did before, this is a new game now. It’s a huge game on Saturday and we are prepared for that.”

For Blackburn, it will be new manager Paul Lambert’s first home game in charge after victory last time out at Preston.

Semedo is fully expecting a tough test but says Wednesday will head to Ewood Park with plenty of confidence.

He added: “It will be a very tough match but we are on a very good run. It will be a good match and hopefully we can add another three points.”
