Atdhe Nuhiu says Saturday’s result at Birmingham shows the spirit the Owls have in their camp.

Wednesday were forced to make three changes to the side named on the official teamsheet inside the first 25 minutes.

One came before kick-off with Kieran Lee injured in the warm-up, followed by the departure of Keiren Westwood and Sam Hutchinson in the first half.

But Nuhiu believes Wednesday have assembled a strong squad capable of overcoming such obstacles and that was highlighted at St Andrew’s.

He said: “It didn’t go well for us at the start but that is why we have a team, a team doesn’t just exist with 11 players, you need everyone.

“We will keep going game by game, we are on our way and will keep doing what the coach tells us to do.

“We don’t know what will happen but if we keep going like we are then who knows.

“We look forward and not down. If you look up, then maybe you will reach even higher.”

Nuhiu’s performance on Saturday earned widespread acclaim following his introduction from the bench just past the hour mark.

His link-up play with Forestieri and Hooper caused concern for the Blues and ultimately helped unlock the hosts’ backline to begin the comeback.

He continued: “You are happy first of all when you win and then happy to play well.

“I played together well with Forestieri and Hooper, they know what I am able to do and I know their strengths so it works well.

“We enjoyed the win on Saturday but now we are focused on the next one.”
