Back in the old routine

25 November 2015

Following victory over his former club Huddersfield on Saturday, Jack Hunt hopes that is the first result of another long unbeaten stretch.

Prior to defeat at Charlton before the break, Hunt says the Owls were in a routine of not losing games.

An impressive 3-1 victory over the Terriers at Hillsborough saw Wednesday immediately return to winning ways and the right back is keen to kick-on with a trip to Blackburn on the horizon.

He said: “We’d gone so long without being defeated and we were in a routine of not losing games.

“We thought we could go to Charlton and continue that and have a good chance of sneaking into the play-offs before the break.

“It was a disappointment to lose that unbeaten streak but we were very pleased to put that right in the next game and hopefully we can now kick-on again.”

Hunt firmly believes that the break has served the squad well and that the Owls are refreshed and ready to tackle the hectic festive period of fixtures head on.

He added: “Just before the break in the last few games, I thought we looked a little leggy in the last 15 minutes or so but against Huddersfield, it was the exact opposite.

“During the last 20 minutes, the energy all the players had from the international break helped win us the game.”
