Bannan in PFA Championship Team of the Year

Barry Bannan has been named in the PFA Sky Bet Championship Team of the Year.

The Scotland international has earned a place in the coveted PFA Championship XI, which is voted for by players in the division.

The 26-year-old has been in outstanding form throughout his maiden season at Hillsborough, where he has posted 36 appearances to date.

Through his all-action and energetic performances in the engine room, the Scot has become a firm fans’ favourite in S6.

He said via his Twitter account: “Proud to be named in the PFA team of the year thanks for the votes and to my teammates couldn't do it without you.”



It is the second year running the Owls have been represented in the PFA Team of the Year with Keiren Westwood named between the sticks last season.
