Bannan receives Scotland call

10 March 2016

Barry Bannan has been included in the Scotland squad for their upcoming international challenge match with Czech Republic.

The Scots face a double header later this month against Czech Republic and Denmark and have named two separate squads for each game.

Bannan will be in the 19 that will head to Prague on Thursday 24 March at the Stadion Letna.

The in-form midfielder has made 20 appearances for his country since making his debut against the Faroe Islands in November 2010.

He last featured for Scotland on 29 March 2015 in the 6-1 win over Gibraltar.

Bannan could feature against Owls teammate Daniel Pudil, who has been named in the Czech Republic squad.
