Birmingham next up for Wednesday

14 September 2014

Following Saturday’s goalless draw at Bolton, Wednesday are back on the road again on Tuesday evening facing Birmingham City.

The Blues have picked up just one league victory so far this term – a 1-0 success on home soil over Brighton last month.

After a heavy 4-0 defeat at Wigan, Lee Clark’s men got back on track against Leeds and posted a point in Saturday’s televised clash.

Where the Owls are concerned, the trip to St Andrew’s last season proved fruitless as the hosts cruised to a 4-1 win, with Manchester United loanee Jesse Lingard bagging all four goals.

That said, the favour was returned six months later when Wednesday won by the same scoreline at Hillsborough, with two goals from Caolan Lavery, Leon Best and a Will Packwood own goal fully avenging the earlier meeting.

The clash on Tuesday kicks off at 7.45pm and Owls fans can listen live with full match commentary on Wednesday Player.

The Owls' official website swfc.co.uk will have all the build-up and in-depth post-match reaction from the clash as Wednesday aim to keep up their undefeated record this season away from home.
