Coke extends Owls stay

28 June 2013

Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke has signed a new two-year contract at Hillsborough.

The deal will see the 27-year-old remain in S6 until summer 2015.

Coke joined the Owls in July 2010 after falling out of contract with SPL side Motherwell and has since made 55 appearances for Wednesday.

The midfielder, who has scored five goals for the Owls, spent the majority of the 2011/12 term away from Hillsborough on loan at Bury – featuring 30 times for the Shakers, scoring a further six goals.

A short loan spell followed at Swindon in the early stages of 2012/13 before Coke made his return to the Owls’ engine room in January 2013.

Coke went on to make a further 16 appearances to aid the Owls in their survival bid last term.
