Coveted award for 'Wednesday'

22 May 2015

The Owls’ matchday programme has been voted ‘Best Value For Money’ in the Championship – the second season in three that 'Wednesday' has scooped the award.

The SWFC offering topped the pile in the annual vote from the Northern Programme Club.

Neil Patterson, editor of NPC magazine ‘Independent View’ said: “This season's version of ‘Wednesday’ can only be described as an exceptional publication. There are so many positive points in a programme which exudes quality and a high standard from start to finish.

“This season's programme has not only improved and raised the bar but has gone on to new heights. Considering an increase in pages from 76 to 84, the retention of a £3 cover price is very commendable and offers real value for money.

“The editorial team should be highly commended for making ‘Wednesday’ one of the best programmes year after year.”

The Owls’ director of communications Trevor Braithwait added: “This is one of the most coveted awards in the programme industry and to win it twice in three years is testament to the quality of our matchday publication.

“Offering our supporters value for money is always first and foremost in our thinking.

“I would like to thank everyone involved in the process and not least our publishing partners O Publishing & Media.”
