Young Wednesday goalkeepers Cameron Dawson and Joe Wildsmith have each signed contract extensions at Hillsborough.
The talented shot-stoppers will now stay with the Owls until the summer of 2017.
Dawson and Wildsmith initially graduated from the club’s academy to sign professional deals with Wednesday.
Dawson told swfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted. I’m looking forward to working hard and doing what comes next in my career. I feel I have made a lot of progress in every year I have been at the club.
“Looking forward, I want to gain as much experience as possible. I have been out on loan before and in terms for any goalkeeper’s development, I think that is really beneficial.
“Going out on loan and getting games is something I would look to do again because the experience is invaluable.
“But right now I want to carry on working as hard as I can, play as many games as I can, and then see what comes up.
“I want to push myself as hard as I can and see how far I can go.
“I’ve been at the club for five years now and to get a new contract is really rewarding. I would like to thank Andy Rhodes and everyone who has helped with my development.”
Fellow keeper Wildsmith has also spoken of his delight after extending his S6 stay.
He said: “I’m really pleased to sign a new contract at the club that I have always supported and I want to stay here a lot longer.
“I am pleased with my development in the two years since I signed my first professional contract. Having first team football art Barnsley at the end of last season and with Wednesday this season has brought me on even further.
“It is a brilliant feeling to play for your hometown club and a dream come true really. I am really happy here and I am lucky to work with great people.
“Cammy and myself have come through since the Under-16s, we train together, we see each other outside football and have become really good friends. All the hard work for both of us has paid off.
“Andy Rhodes has been a great influence on both us. He is a big factor in why we have these new contracts, he has shown faith in us and I thank him a lot.”
