Enthusiastic fan and player!

Wednesday can welcome influential midfield man Barry Bannan back into the fold this weekend.

The 26-year-old has served his three-match suspension and is available for selection at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Happy to have him back, Carlos Carvalhal says it is a big positive for the club, though joked the Owls have lost an enthusiastic supporter in the stands, after the Scot watched on with the fans in the recent trip to Huddersfield.

“I think the fans are not happy because they have lost a good guy to scream from the stands because he was very good!” Carlos said.

“But we are happy because we have a very good player back. We lose a very enthusiastic fan and we win a footballer so we are happy.

“Let’s see for Saturday, we have good options in the midfield to choose from and we must analyse the last games and see how the players feel.

“We will analyse Bristol City and after we will take all the decisions about a lot of things and then make the first 11 to try to play with the full energy.

“It’s also important that the guys on the bench when they go on the pitch, they really effect the game. They have been doing that in the past games and we are really happy about that.”
