  • Forward signs at Hillsborough until 1 January
  • Hope is eligible for the Owls' clash with Nottingham Forest

Sheffield Wednesday have signed exciting young Premiership striker Hallam Hope on a youth loan.

Hope will stay at Hillsborough until 1 January 2015.

The Everton forward is eligible for the Owls’ home game with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The highly-rated 20-year-old enters into his third temporary spell in the Football League following successful loans with Northampton Town and Bury last season.

Hope made three appearances for the Cobblers, scoring one goal before switching to the Shakers, for whom he struck five times in eight games, including a hat-trick against Portsmouth.

The hitman began his career with Manchester City before signing for Everton in July 2010.

He was a regular feature for the Toffees’ Under-18s in 2009/10 and played a part in Everton’s FA Youth Cup run of the same season.

During the 2010/11 campaign, Hope was a key performer as Everton lifted the national academy title.

Hope has earned international recognition for England at youth level, debuting against Wales in the Victory Shield before scoring twice in the Young Lions' 3-1 win over Ukraine in France's Montaigu Tournament.

He has also featured for England's Under-19s but remains eligible to represent Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados.
