Feet on the floor

11 February 2016

Wednesday may well be riding high in the Championship, back in the top six and top of the form table but Carlos Carvalhal says all feet are firmly on the ground.

No one at the club is getting carried away by the recent successes on the pitch and all focus is now on the clash with Brentford.

“My feet are on the floor all of the time,” Carlos said.

“We know what we are doing, how we are doing and why we are winning. We are excited but not excessively so.

“We are in a moderated mood, we understand that to win the games we must fight a lot, we must have character and we must play like a team.

“But we are with our feet on the floor, we are in the process and we try to correct things.”

The head coach has been happy with the Owls’ work on the training pitch this week and says the players have been outstanding.

More encouragingly, Carlos believes performances can improve still as he explained:

“You try to correct things when they are not perfect and this week has been fantastic.

“I believe that on Saturday we can do even better.”
