- Wednesday beaten 1-0 by Wolves
- Home side miss a raft of chances
- But Wolves score six minutes from time
Stuart Gray bemoaned his side’s profligacy in front of goal following the 1-0 home defeat to Wolves.
Former Owl Leon Clarke bit the hand that once fed, coming off the bench late in the game to ensure a three-point return for the visitors.
And Gray was left scratching his head having seen Wednesday dominate the majority of the contest and create a host of opportunities.
He said: “I’m sat here now thinking, how on earth have we lost that game?
“We could have been 3-0 up ten minutes and out of sight by half time.
“But football is all about taking your chances and we didn’t do that today.
“The frustrating thing is that that was one of best home displays of the season.
“But it means nothing if you don’t get the result, which we haven’t done.
“I would much rather be talking about an ugly win rather than having played well and lost.”
