Tom Lees says there is a hunger and passion in the Owls dressing room to achieve something special this season.
After a long and hard Championship campaign, Wednesday have it all to play for with two games remaining.
A point this weekend from the clash with Cardiff will secure a place in the coveted top six.
Lees said: “Everyone is focused, there are no distractions and we are all here to achieve something.
“Hopefully this season, we will create something special.
“There is a buzz coming into training, it’s a good place to come and play your football and we really enjoy it.
“We’re almost there and there is a lot of excitement and we just really want to do it.”
The ingredients are there to make for a huge occasion on Saturday and with the highest league attendance expected, Lees added:
“There is a real hunger and passion, we have a really good changing room, a professional changing room and it’s something we want to achieve.
“We’ll give it everything we’ve got and we’ll see where that gets us.”
