- Gray pleased with Owls' start to 2014/15
- International call-ups a positive reflection
- Keiren Westwood, Stevie May and Kamil Zayatte receive international recognition
Owls head coach Stuart Gray has said the international call-ups in the squad are a reflection of the club’s solid start to the campaign.
Keiren Westwood, Stevie May and Kamil Zayatte have all received recognition on the international stage this month.
Following on from Westwood’s call-up to the Eire squad and May to the Scotland Under-21s, Zayatte is now set to earn his 46th cap for Guinea this evening.
Guinea face Uganda in a qualifying clash for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Gray said: “It can give you a few headaches but it’s generally a good reflection of how well you’re doing.
“You want to be successful and the more successful you are, the more players you’re going to have on international duty.
“Hopefully it is something we’ll be experiencing more of.
“It’s part of the everyday running of Premier League clubs but it can take a bit of getting used to.”
