Isgrove looks forward to Owls spell

19 March 2015

Owls loanee Lloyd Isgrove is aiming to make an impact at Hillsborough having penned a loan deal from Southampton until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old enjoyed his first training session with the Owls on Thursday and is eligible for Saturday’s derby with Rotherham at The New York Stadium.

The Saints product has high hopes for the coming weeks and said:

“The most important thing for me is to play games regularly at first team level.

“I’m really looking forward to it and had my first training session today with the squad.

“Now I want to settle in quickly and look forward to Saturday because it’s a big game for us.

“I just want to play as much football as I can.”

Isgrove arrives at Hillsborough with plenty of promise and recently signed a new two-year deal with Southampton.

On his playing style, the wideman added:

“I am an out and out winger and I like playing on both sides. I’m predominantly right footed but can play on the left as well.

“I like to be direct and use my pace so I will be looking to get shots and crosses in. I want to get assists and goals and add as much as I can.”
