Owls goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith has received a call-up to the England Under-21 squad.
Gareth Southgate’s side face Switzerland in a UEFA European Championship qualifier in Thun.
Wildsmith has been involved in the England Under-21 set-up since back in October, when he was elevated from Under-20 to 21 level.
Also in the squad between the sticks is Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford and Brighton’s Christian Walton.
Of his achievements on both the domestic and international stage, Wildsmith said: “It’s been a big season for me so far and I’m very proud of what’s been achieved and there are a lot of people to thank.
“The gaffer has been brilliant with me and Andy Rhodes has shown a lot of faith in me and I hope I’ve repaid them a little with my performances.”
