- Keiren Westwood crowned Player of the Month
- Goalkeeper wins with 45 per cent of the vote
- Tom Lees and Stevie May in second and third
Keiren Westwood has been named as the swfc.co.uk September Player of the Month.
The 29-year-old has scooped the award with 45 per cent of the vote after another fine month for the ex-Sunderland man.
Westwood has featured in all ten of the Owls’ Championship fixtures and was influential throughout September, helping Wednesday keep three clean sheets from five.
Bolton, Birmingham and Reading all drew a blank against Wednesday but perhaps Westwood’s biggest moment of the month was his penalty save from Glenn Murray, which sent the Owls on their way to victory over the Royals.
The result of the vote was as follows:
Keiren Westwood 45 per cent
Tom Lees 20 per cent
Stevie May 17 per cent
Thank you to all supporters who gave their vote for the swfc.co.uk award.
