Joe Mattock will sit out the Owls’ home game with Norwich this weekend.
The left back picked up his fifth yellow card of the season at Brentford on Tuesday night and receives a mandatory one-match ban as a result.
Head coach Stuart Gray said: “Joe has been on four yellow cards for a while and he got his fifth tonight so misses the Norwich game.
“That will give someone else the opportunity to come in and show what they can do.”
