Nuhiu seeking home comforts

26 January 2015

  • Owls prepare for Birmingham at home
  • Hillsborough clash on Tuesday night
  • Atdhe Nuhiu wants change of luck

Atdhe Nuhiu believes that with a change of fortune in Wednesday’s favour, the team’s home form can start to match that of the pedigree away.

The Owls’ troubles in front of goal at Hillsborough have been well documented this season but Nuhiu says it is only a matter of time before S6 becomes a happier hunting ground for the hosts.

He said: “It is difficult to put your finger on anything specific why we get more points away from home.

“We approach every game the same and that is to win. We never play for a draw, we always want the win.

“We have not been playing badly at home but we did start poorly against Bolton last time and I think that cost us the game.

“But at the end, we have hit the crossbar, then we had what we all thought was a good goal cancelled out for offside.

“Sometimes these things go against you and it can just as easily go the other way so hopefully the next slice of luck goes for us instead of against us.”

The Owls take on Birmingham at Hillsborough on Tuesday night (7.45pm) and tickets are available in person at the Ticket Office, by telephone on 0871 900 1867 or by visiting the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop
