Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to confirm that the club’s official website swfc.co.uk achieved the highest FLi (Football League interactive) statistics in the country when the fixture schedules for 2015/16 were announced last week.
The Owls finished top from all 89 clubs – including a selection from the Premier League – on the FLi platform, posting record figures along the way.
The fixtures were confirmed on swfc.co.uk at 9.00am on Wednesday 17 June, followed by a steady flow of associated content throughout the day.
And over 60,000 page views were registered by the Owls as digital records were smashed across the board.
An incredible 3m page views overall saw fixture release day confirmed as a huge success for FLi and technology partners Sapient Nitro.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Director of Communications Trevor Braithwait said: “We were delighted to perform so well on what is traditionally the busiest day of the year for FLi websites. It is always satisfying when a strategy proves successful.
“Moving forward, there are some exciting plans in place for our official website, which continues to go from strength to strength.
“A key strand will be significant upgrades to our Wednesday Player subscription service via swfc.co.uk
“From next season, we will be broadcasting 90-minute HD re-runs of first team games with full match commentary, a service that will be completely exclusive to Player.
“This will serve as a natural complement to our YouTube channel which has so far generated over 5m views alone.
“We would like to thank all our subscribers and viewers for their support.”
