Owls fan bags Half Season Ticket

16 December 2014

A lifelong Owls supporter has scooped a top ticket prize after they attended the Wolves clash on Saturday.

Sharon Cardwell, who works as a school kitchen assistant at Dalton Listerdale School in Rotherham, was the winner of a Half Season Ticket and will now enjoy the rest of the season completely free!

The prize winner was randomly selected during half time at Sheffield Wednesday’s game against Wolves on Saturday and the competition was open to anyone who purchased a ticket in advance for the game.

Sharon, who has supported the Owls for more than 28 years, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I won! Winning the ticket is definitely greatly received around this time of year!”

Sharon lives in East Dene in Rotherham and has been attending Sheffield Wednesday matches for more than 28 years.

Since getting married to her husband Anthony, who has followed The Owls since 1979, Sharon now attends as many matches as possible with him and their daughter Holly who’s aged 13.

“We try to go to as many games as and when possible but it’s not always financially possible so the Half Season Ticket will really help. Thanks to everyone at Sheffield Wednesday!”

Half Season Adult prices on the Kop start from just £230 and Under 11s can attend the remaining matches for just £49 – working out at just £4 a game!
