Last week saw the Sheffield Wednesday girls and women’s development team host an annual tournament which saw nine schools from South Yorkshire take part.
The event, the Girls Cup, was held at Hillsborough College last Friday and saw Forge Valley come out on top after they successfully beat off the competition and won against Ecclesfield in the final round.
Zoe Blythe, Sheffield Wednesday Community coach, said: “The day has been fantastic and despite bad weather conditions, the schools made the tournament a great success! I would like to thank all the participating schools for entering and also a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day.”
