Palmer set for City Ground battle

7 January 2015

The Owls travel to Nottingham Forest this weekend and Liam Palmer is keen to avenge defeat to the Reds earlier this season at Hillsborough.

In front of the Sky Sports cameras in August, Forest edged a close-fought battle in S6 by a single goal to go top of the Championship.

But having entered 2015 in good form with back to back wins over Blackpool and Wigan, Palmer is wanting to put right that earlier reverse and the winning run to continue.

He said: “We've got nothing to fear heading down to The City Ground.

“We played them at our place and felt we should have at least taken the draw, if not win the game.

“We go there on a good run of form and are looking to get the points, definitely.”

Palmer continued: “They're a bit indifferent at the moment.

“They've got some really good players and if they all come together on the day they can be a force.

“But the league is wide open, we’re six points off the play-offs so we'll see what happens.”

Tickets for the trip to The City Ground are sold out for visiting supporters but Owls fans can listen live to the game anywhere in the world on Wednesday Player.

Player provides live match commentary for every first team game home and away and right now, Owls fans can purchase a six-month subscription for just £19.99.
