Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Ryan Meadows on a one-year contract.
The central midfielder joined the club on a permanent basis having proved success on a trial period with the Owls.
The teenager came through the ranks with Wigan Athletic before leaving the Lancashire outfit last summer.
Development Squad coach Lee Bullen said: "Ryan has signed his contract. He is a very neat and tidy player.
“We picked him up from Wigan. He trained with Leicester all pre-season but couldn't agree a contract with them and we were lucky enough to net him in the end.
“He's got until the end of the season with us. He's 19-years-old but he gives us that little bit more experience with the games he has played.”
