Taco Bell partnership for matchday 50/50 draw

7 August 2015

Sheffield Wednesday have announced a new partnership with Mexican-style restaurant Taco Bell and will now sponsor the Owls’ matchday 50/50 draw.

Sheffield’s two Taco Bell branches have announced they will sponsor the Owls’ matchday 50/50 draw from the start of the new season.

As well as being in with a chance of winning 50 per cent of the matchday draw ticket sales, all fans who buy a ticket will receive a special voucher enabling them to sample some of Taco Bell’s food either for free or at reduced cost.

Amanda Hirst, Owls Foundation Compliance Officer, said: “This partnership is great news for the club and for the fans. With two Taco Bell restaurants in Sheffield, there’s plenty of opportunity for Owls’ supporters to enjoy the range of food on offer.”

Arjun Patel, Operations Manager at Taco Bell, added: “When the chance arose to get involved with Sheffield Wednesday, we jumped at the prospect. It looks like it’s going to be a really exciting season for the Owls. We’re proud to be involved with the club and the 50/50 draw.”

Taco Bell currently has two restaurants in Sheffield, one on Ecclesall Road and one on Devonshire Street. The Ecclesall Road branch was the first high street Taco Bell to be opened in the UK, followed by the Devonshire Street restaurant.

The first Taco Bell-sponsored matchday 50/50 draw will take place at half time at this Saturday’s game against Bristol City.
