They will be unbelievable

27 May 2016

Barry Bannan thoroughly expects a top-drawer performance from the fans on Saturday at Wembley.

The Owls have sold out their entire allocation for the Sky Bet Championship play-off final.

Just under 40,000 Wednesdayites will be at Wembley to back the Owls in one of the biggest games in the club’s history.

Ahead of the clash with Hull, Bannan said: “They have followed us all season so we knew this game would be no different but the backing they give us is incredible.

“No matter who we play against, you can always rely on them to be the loudest. That is guaranteed.

“It’s a big day for them and I know they will be unbelievable on the day.”

Having tasted success in the Championship play-offs before with Blackpool, Bannan cannot wait to be back on the big stage once again.

“These games are why you want to be in football,” he added. “It’s the best feeling you can have.

“I enjoyed it the last time, obviously we won that day so it was brilliant.

“Most teams have finished by now but we’re still competing and want to win it this way. I don’t think there is a better way to do it and I can’t wait to get out there.”
