Owls stars Fernando Forestieri and Glenn Loovens yesertday took part in a unique challenge that saw the pair try their hand at decorating a cake!

The Wednesday duo joined players from Sheffield United, Barnsley and Rotherham United at Marcos New York Italian hotel as they battled it out to decorate their own cake in club colours.

The player’s had half an hour to complete the challenge and were spurred on by Sky Sports News HQ presenter David Garrido. To help them produce the best cake the players were given expert advice from professional chefs from Marcos for the duration.

Owls fans can now vote for the ‘Wednesday cake’ and send a donation to the cancer charity via JustGiving.

Glenn said: “Weston Park is such an important charity that helps so many people in the area so Fernando and I were honoured to take part in the event. We really enjoyed it so please vote for our cake! We think our cake was the best but our skills should probably stay on the pitch and not the kitchen!”

Use the hashtag #TimeforTeaCakeOff to help Fernando and Glenn’s cake win the ‘cake off’ title for Wednesday!

Fans can also vote for their cake on the Weston Park Cancer Hospital website.
