Tonight's charity partner

12 August 2014

The Owls Charity Partner for this evening’s cup-tie is The Eden Dora Trust, a charity for children with Encephalitis. The club are proud to support their bid to raise funds and awareness.

The Eden Dora Trust specialise in raising money for Encephalitis – an inflammation to the brain caused by either and infection or allergic reaction that often leads to an Acquired Brain Injury.

The charity was set up in honour of Eden, who was six at the time of diagnosis. The illness affects everyday life and has changed Eden’s and her family’s lives forever.

One Direction pop star Louis Tomlinson, Manchester City’s Joe Hart and England cricket Andrew Flintoff are all patrons of the charity and the Owls are delighted to support the fundraising aims of the trust.

The organisation held a stall at the club’s summer family fun day, Owls in the Park, where an impressive £260 was raised towards their appeal.

The charity are currently working on a campaign to reach £50,000. To find out how you can donate visit www.edendoratrust.org
