Wednesday stars of the future!

26 February 2015

Last week saw hundreds of youngsters take part in the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme’s Soccer Camps.

The camp ran from Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February and was facilitated by expert coaching staff from the club’s community programme.

Owls star Joe Mattock even popped in to talk to the children and join in with a few of their drills and watch their games.

Joe said: “The Soccer Camps are good for the youngsters to get into football and it’s often from there they go on to play for a club. It’s a good way for them to meet others and build up their confidence and learn new skills.”

Children, both boys and girls, aged five – 14 enjoyed our camp to develop skills, technique and their standard of play.

The camps are a great way to introduce children to playing or a way to progress onto higher levels of play.

The camps take place at the club’s Middlewood training ground in Hillsborough and at Retford Oaks High School.

To find out more information on future camps please contact the Community Programme on community@swfc.co.uk or call 0114 324 0523
