Owls goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith helped England to a winning start in the Mercedes Elite Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The Under-20s beat Holland 3-1 in Germany, with Wildsmith playing 82 minutes of the friendly encounter.
Goals from Reece Brown, Brandon Barker and Sam Gallagher were enough to ensure the Three Lions were off to a flyer in Heidenheim.
Keith Downing’s squad face Turkey and host nation Germany over the next five days as Wildsmith continues his impressive start to the 2015/16 season.
The Sheffielder made his Owls’ league debut at Ipswich before going on to post clean sheets at Bolton and then Newcastle in the Capital One Cup.
