Promising Owls academy midfielder Simon Hanna has been called up to represent Northern Ireland in their trio of UEFA Championship qualifying fixtures.
The 17-year-old is the current captain of the Owls’ Under-18 squad and has shown excellent progress over the course of the season.
Stephen Craigan’s Northern Ireland side will face 2010 winners and last year’s finalists France, Iceland and mini tournament hosts Belgium in Group four.
The games are as follows:
10/10/13 – Belgium v Northern Ireland
12/10/13 – Northern Ireland v France
15/10/13 – Iceland v Northern Ireland
