Kamil Zayatte will have a scan on a hamstring injury sustained in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich.
The central defender left the pitch just before half time having pulled up in his own penalty area.
And Zayatte is a major doubt for Saturday’s local derby with Leeds.
Head coach Stuart Gray said: “Kamil went down in our box chasing a ball and it’s a hamstring.
“I don’t know how serious it is until he has a scan but he is a big doubt for Saturday.
“It’s disappointing because he has been playing well and was dominant in the air against the big lads in the Ipswich team.
“We will get the boy scanned and take it from there.”
