Sheffield Wednesday's academy have confirmed their pre-season schedule with a game at Manchester United looking set to be the under-18s toughest contest.

The Owls' U18 side will kick off their pre-season matches with a trip to Handsworth on July 4, followed by Dinnington FC on July 8.

Trips to Premier League new boys Hull City (July 11) and English and European Champions, Manchester United (July 15) follow.

Closer to home, the U18s will take on Rotherham United (July 22) and Doncaster Rovers (July 29) away, before hosting Grimsby Town at Middlewood Road on August 1 (2pm kick-off).

The Academy has also scheduled a home friendly on Friday, July 25 at 2pm with opponents to be confirmed.

The Academy will also send a side to face Matlock Town under-19s on July 31 (7pm kick-off).
