The Sheffield Wednesday under-19s head out to Holland early next month, when the Owls youngsters face a tough tournament test against teams from South America and Europe.

The Copa Del Agathe tournament kicks off on August 8 and runs through the following day to its conclusion. The Owls will play three group games and at least one more tie, depending on their results at the group stages.

Academy manager, Sean McAuley, said: "The Dutch will provide great opposition in terms of our preparation for next season.

"We are playing Botafogo from Brazil and teams from Scandinavia and they will each give us a real test. The key thing from our point of view is the competition and level of performance."
