Sheffield Wednesday are joining forces with all 72 Football League clubs in a week of action to raise awareness and vital funds for Help for Heroes - The Football League's Official Charity Partner for the 2009/10 season.

Football for Heroes week will take place between March 6 and 14 allowing the whole of The Football League to show its support for the efforts of our Armed Forces.

Sheffield Wednesday will be holding their Help for Heroes match when they take on Leicester City on Saturday March 6 at Hillsborough Stadium.

The club's chairman, Lee Strafford, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Help for Heroes at our game on Saturday and to welcome members of the 72nd Engineers Regiment as our guests for this match.

"It is important that we take this opportunity to remember the bravery and courage that our armed forces show when working overseas and the difficult times that soldiers' families have to face in their absence."
