Owls boss urges carnival atmosphere

Posted on: Fri 24 Apr 2009

Owls manager Brian Laws is urging all Wednesday fans travelling to Bristol City on Saturday to enjoy their final away trip of the season.

The theme for Owls supporters going to Ashton Gate this weekend is 'Honolulu Wednesday', giving fans the chance to dress in their brightest coloured shirts, shorts and floral garlands to cheer the team on!

"I want all of our supporters to enjoy the last away game of the season," the Wednesday manager said. "It's great for the supporters, they've not gone through the emotions they went through last season and can now enjoy these final few games."

Laws insists he will pass at the opportunity to dig out his best Hawaiian shirt but a fun carnival atmosphere and three points is what the fans deserve this weekend.

He continued: "I'm really pleased for the supporters, they deserve the right to enjoy the final few games of the season and have a carnival atmosphere or whatever they like. It's great for them but I can assure you they aren't getting a grass skirt on me!"
