Brian Laws can't wait for his team to kick-off the match against Coventry after a two-week wait to address the 3-0 reverse at Derby County recently.
Chris Coleman's side come to Hillsborough on Saturday and the Owls boss is determined to get three points on the board.
"It feels like it's been the longest fortnight of all," Laws said. "In footballing terms it is a long wait but thank goodness the game against Coventry is just around the corner because we have the chance to go out there and get a positive result.
"It was a shame to go into the international break on a negative because there had been so many positives in the weeks leading into the result at Derby. It's been a frustrating period but the only way we can go out and address that by getting a result against Coventry.
"We have been very thorough in our preparation for the Coventry game and we have a great opportunity to get back on track in the coming week with two home games coming up quickly," Laws continued. "We have had to relive the Derby game through the media because there hasn't been anything else to talk about during the international break. It has made a mountain out of a molehill in some ways but we should not forget we have put in some very good performances so far this season.
Stating his intentions for Saturday's match, Laws said: "I want a win this weekend - it's that simple. We can keep throwing stats around showing what we have done well but the only stat we really want is a win come 5pm on Saturday. If it's a scrappy 1-0 win then I will be happy with that because three points is important and while it's not 'do or die' it is important for us to bounce back from our last performance."
With places up for grabs, Laws has plenty of options to choose his starting eleven too.
"Our reserves played well in midweek at Shrewsbury and Franny Jeffers may come back into the squad. He has been out in the cold a little bit but his attitude has been first class. Frank Simek also had a decent performance in the reserves and he is champing at the bit but I am not going to disclose my team for Saturday. The important thing is that we have a bunch of players that are in good health and desperately want to play," Laws concluded.
