Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine was pleased with the performance at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday as the Owls inched out of the relegation zone in South Wales.
The visitors turned in a disciplined display to hold high-flying Swansea and post a maiden draw under Irvine.
The gaffer said: "I thought it was a good performance from the lads and it's a well deserved point. We battled well throughout and the shape was fantastic when we didn't have the ball and I thought we could have even snatched it as we had a few chances too.
"Our game plan was to make sure that we were well organised and switched on right from the off. We knew that whenever Swansea had possession of the ball they were going to try and get the ball down and play so we had to react well to changes in possession.
"At the start of the game we didn't show enough composure on the ball but as the game went on we began to look more and more comfortable."
The Owls might have emerged with a travelling maximum, with Leon Clarke and Tommy Miller going close in an even second half.
Irvine said: "I thought we looked dangerous in the final third. I thought that the shot from Tommy Miller was going in, and I don't know if Ashley Williams just got in the way of it just hit him, but it was a vital block.
"There's been a big change since the Reading game and the lads deserve a lot of credit for the last few performances. Our last three games have been against Leicester, West Brom and Swansea, three top sides in this division. We won against Leicester, were unlucky to lose at West Brom midweek and got a well deserved point today."
"It's nice to be out of the bottom three but we're not going to get carried away. We know that there's a long way to go if we are to stay in this division. As long as we're out of the bottom three on the last day of the season, that will be fine for me."
